2nd Tasmania Cup Golf Club Championship
On December 8 and 9, the Southern Golf Club Championship will take place with the participation of 50 teams from many different localities.
The 2nd Southern Clubs Golf Championship – Tasmania Cup recently concluded with great success, marking an important milestone in the Southern Vietnam golf movement. The tournament brought together over 50 clubs and nearly 650 top golfers from provinces including Nha Trang, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Binh Duong, and most of the major clubs in Ho Chi Minh City, competing intensely over two days.
Opening Ceremony and tournament atmosphere

The opening ceremony was held with grandeur at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course, attracting a large number of athletes and club representatives. The event united strong clubs from across the South, creating an exciting and competitive atmosphere from the very first rounds. Golfers competed over 72 holes across 4 rounds in 2 days, following the Match Play (fourball) format, with a total of 180 possible points.
Format and rules

The tournament applied both individual and team scoring under the Match Play system. Each team fielded its best golfers who employed tight strategies to compete for the highest score each round. The competition emphasized both individual skill and team coordination, showcasing the professionalism of the clubs.
Results and achievements

After two intense days, the championship officially ended with a decisive victory for the Central & Friend Golf Club (MTF). With consistent performance and a clear edge, MTF scored a perfect 5 points, topping the 12 participating clubs. This victory solidifies their leading position in the Southern golf community.
Following closely was the Saigon Businessmen Golf Club with 4.5 points, edging out other clubs like Tasmania and Hue-Saigon Golf Clubs on tiebreaks. The Tasmania Club, a highly watched contender, also performed impressively with 4.5 points, providing strong competition and highlighting the event’s high level.
Outstanding individuals and awards

Besides team achievements, the tournament also recognized many standout individual performances. Golfers delivered impressive shots and demonstrated excellent team synergy, contributing to exciting and emotional matches. The “Hole In One” contest was a highlight, with nearly 40 billion VND worth of prizes, including cars, real estate, and other attractive rewards, reinforcing the prestige and appeal of the championship.
