Opportunity to ‘Hunt’ the 40 Billion VND Hole In One Prize at the Tasmania Cup Club Golf Championship

The 2nd Southern Clubs Golf Championship – Tasmania Cup will take place on December 8-9, 2020, at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course.

The Southern Clubs Golf Championship – Tasmania Cup stands as the largest golf event in the southern region of Vietnam, attracting participation from 50 top clubs and nearly 650 elite golfers from key provinces such as Nha Trang, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City. This tournament serves not only as a high-level competitive platform but also engages in meaningful community activities.

Scale and significance

Founded to provide a premier competitive stage for Southern golf clubs, the Tasmania Cup Championship has witnessed substantial growth in both scale and quality. The event sets standards in competition format and organization, fostering a more professional and structured development of golf clubs and amateur golf movement in the region.

Nearly 40 billion VND “Hole In One” prize opportunity

A standout feature that draws tremendous attention is the lucrative Hole In One (HIO) prize pool valued at nearly 40 billion VND. Competing golfers vie for remarkable rewards, including brand-new cars, a luxurious villa in Phan Thiet, and a premium apartment in Da Nang, all sponsored by leading domestic and international brands.

To balance fairness and increase the chances for both male and female golfers, the organizers carefully adjusted the HIO hole lengths. The course measures uniformly 165 yards for men and 130 yards for women, ensuring heightened excitement and equitable competition.

Role in community support and central Vietnam relief

Positioned within the “Race to Central Vietnam” event series organized by Vietnam Racing Academy, the tournament carries a profound philanthropic purpose. Through ticket sales from accompanying motor racing events and auctioning golf memorabilia, funds are raised to aid communities severely affected by natural disasters in Central Vietnam. This dual focus on competitive sport and social responsibility enriches the event’s appeal and significance.

Affirming appeal and anticipation

Thanks to its attractive prize structure and professional scale, the Southern Clubs Golf Championship – Tasmania Cup continues to be a highly awaited annual sporting spectacle. It draws large numbers of quality golfers and elevates the stature of southern Vietnam’s golf movement on the national sports map.

The event not only fulfills athletes’ passion and competitive ambitions but also acts as a pivotal platform for community building, fostering healthy lifestyles, and encouraging sustainable sports development.
